According to the fashion police at Vogue Kidman has mastered dressing with authority and grandeur. In the most important issue of the year (according to those in the know), the September issue will be chockers with snaps of Ms Kidman described by the influential mag as “an icon of glamour and a certain fabulous appropriateness”.
Some the world?s leading photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Helmut Newton and Irving Penn will shoot ?our Nic? in the 20 page fashion spread in everything from Versace party frocks to sexy Agent Provocateur lingerie. According to fashion guru Tom Ford of Gucci, Kidman can?t put a Manolo Blahnik wrong! “She never makes a fashion faux pas. She’s developed a character for the red carpet, a public persona that is very groomed, very sleek, very controlled, very smooth, very much the star, very gracious, very elegant, very thoroughbred.” A lot of verys from the king of style himself!
Mirror Mirror on the wall – who is the coolest of them all?
Kylie has it and so does the David Beckham and his posh wife Victoria but who else makes the cool school according to a list compiled by the Brand Council of the UK? Sexy Soccer sensation David Beckham has been voted this years coolest celebrity with ex-boy band funkster Justin Timberlake taking out second. Followed then by the coolest chicks of them all, Victoria Beckham who came in at third place and Aussie songbird Kylie Minogue took out fourth place. At the other end of the age scale, even the Queen and Sean Connery apparently also possess it. According to the Brand Council, cool is not something you can manufacture, while they do state that there is no strict definition, being cool has something to do with being innovative, irreverent and confident enough to do your own thing. How cool are they?
